What can you say other than...LA LA LA LA LAA LA LAFONTAINE!!!

Pat LaFontaine #16 banner raised to the rafters of HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. Early in Tom Golisano's ownership, both LaFontaine and Danny Gare were recognized for their contributions to the Buffalo Sabres and Western New York community. Pat LaFontaine played hockey in the NHL exclusively within New York State, skating first for the Islanders, then Sabres, and finally Rangers.

Here's hoping that Pegula continues this trend. Maybe there will soon be a 6 or 39 hanging from the rafters of HSBC Arena...or better yet...a STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER!!!

  • I will always see him as an Islander. His number should have been retired with the Isles, not the Sabres. He is truly a good guy.
