Correction - the Stanley Clarke Band album from 2010 (with Ronald Bruner Jr. in it) actually won a Grammy in 2011 for Best Contemporary Jazz Album.

Folks - about the showing-off - I believe we are mistaken. This is a drum clinic after-all and seeing chops is what people gave their money for. Second - if Ronald was unmusical in any way - he wouldn't be hired by Stanley Clarke in his band - which released a Grammy Nominated record, btw :)

WHy man? Why did these drums have to die so painfully? He's such a cruel cruel man! And it's weird hearing this R&B approach. It's almost as if he CAN'T help but implement a fill here and there, hey, the ppl are paying to see Ronald Bruner Jr. and not a more subtle, calm Steve Jordan or Steve Gadd....
