Latex is the best for column marbleizing. Doors depend on what your customer wants. Most of the time I use metallic colors for doors.

I use mostly waterbase colors such as acrylic latex or just regular acrylic for small scale projects. I have no problem with answering your questions about mural painting via email or in person if you are in the States. Thanks for your comment.
