@andante264 walaykum alsallam brother, i've been reading up on the calling of adhan and its both makruh and harram to call the adhan in a way that it sounds like a song. Therefore prolonging certain words or letters in wrong when calling the adhan. A man once said to Umar (RA) 'I love you for the sake of allah' and he replied 'I hate you for the sake of allah, because you were singing the adhan rather than just calling people to prayer'.
