HALLO YOUTUBERS,
HERE IS MY COMPLETED MODEL RAILWAY IN N GAUGE. I HAVE USED A MODIFIED TINY MICRO SPY CAMERA TO PRODUCE SOME DRIVERS EYE 'CAB VIEWS' IN PARTS. ALTHOUGH THE FOOTAGE WAS 'REASONABLE' WHEN RECORDED, AFTER THE EDITING AND CONVERTING ECT THE TRAINS DO SEEM TO HAVE A SORT OF STOP-START MOTION. I THINK THIS WAS DOWN TO MY COMPO LIMITATIONS. THE VIDEO IS IN THREE PARTS . PART 3 WILL FOLLOW IN ABOUT A WEEK. LEMON STREET IS FEATURED IN THE MAY AND DECEMBER ISSUES OF RAILWAY MODELLER 2010 AND IN THE N GAUGE JOURNAL IF YOU WISH TO SEE MORE DETAILED PHOTO'S., REGARDS AND THANKS FOR VISITING MY PAGE.

  • TO PHIL 1102 - IF YOU WOULD LIKE SOME MORE INFO ON THE LIGHTING OR A CLOSE UP PHOTO OF THE LED LIGHTS ,THEN PLEASE LET ME KNOW

  • @phil1102

HI THERE,MANY THANKSFOR YOUR KIND COMMENTS. THE LIGHTING IN THE MAIN TERMINUS STATION USES A RECENT INOVATION IN WHITE SURFACE MOUNT (SM) LEDS. EACH LED MEASURES ABOUT 2MM LONG BY 1 MM WIDE . WIRES NO THICKER THAN A HUMAN HAIR WHERE SOLDERED ONTO EACH LED USING A 15 W ANTEX SOLDEING IRON WITH A 3MM BIT FITTED ...OH AND A BLOOMIN THICK PAIR OF READING GLASSES SO I COULD SEE WHAT I WAS SOLDERING !!!!.

THE RESULT,AS YOU SAY IS VERY EFECTIVE ,THE LIGHT OUTPUT IS ROUGHLY SCALE CORRECT!

  • Wonderful presentation and way to explore the layout. I was wondering what do you use for lighting in the station it is very effective.

  • @rockmad100 there is a ready made gadget you can get called a micro cam wireless train cam. it uses the track power (dcc or standard) with a rechargeable backup when stationary. the picture and sound are then transmitted to a receiver of which you plug into your tv or monitor. the down side is that its a tadge expensive at £100+ . i have seen them on ebay for less. i used a similar gadget £30 from ebay and took the casing off and used a pair of 12 volt 1/2 aaa bateries as the power supply

  • hello. am wanting to be able to get drivers eye view of my layout for exhibitions and am wondering what you used to get that on here?
