Wow I LOL at Red Sox fans who keep saying this didn't matter because the Marlins won the World Series
Yeah well I guess Carlton Fisk's (heck I'm sure there are several Sox fans who never heard of them) Home Run didn't matter either because the Reds won the World Series

@TrueTenorOne I respectfully disagree and it's not because I'm a Yankees fan. Personally, I think only the first 5 games (and possibly game 6) were exciting. Game 7 was an absolute blowout.
The Red Sox's comeback the following year was a hell of an accomplishment, but I don't think it would qualify as being the Greatest 7 Game Series in ALCS History. In 2003 all seven games were closer and more exciting to watch. Check out the boxscore and you'll see what I mean. That's just my opinion.

@nyyanksrdbest Carlton? Ain't that Will Smith's cousin in Fresh Prince? Do the Carlton dance hahah
And I'm a Red Sox fan

@nyyanksrdbest Right?! Notice how ESPN always shows the Fisk HR when they lost the series.

This series was much better than 04...This series has so many memories, back and forth all the way through, Pedro vs Zimmer and the benches clearing, Pedro vs Rocket in game 7, and not to mention the walk off shot. Tell me how o4 matches that.

@Werdtourmother nooooo clearly hes a yankee fan lol

@nyyanksrdbest Oh definitely. The best of the best and the worst of the worst.

@redsoxfan3418 It's not a problem dude. We have plenty of fans who brag about championships and I can't stand that either. I think Red Sox and Yankees have the best and the worst fans in the game. Guess that's got happen when you have the best rivalry huh

@nyyanksrdbest I apologize for some of our fanbase being completely retarded. We group idiots like them off and make fun of them around here.

Go Yankees. It sad to see Andy Pettitte retire. He will always be a Yankee and deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
The caption says "The greatest 7 Game Series in ALCS history" ......You've Got To Be Kidding me...... Clearly You Don't Remember the year 2004!!!!

Well i would say that the excitement of the actual game 7 that year was not matched by the 2004 game which was a blowout. This game had the stellar pitching matchup, the lat game comeback, the closer throwing 3 innings and then the walk-off homerun. 2004 doesn't come close to that.
