Then what exactly is all the fuss about lead and posion, you lead me to believe its practically edible.

It's spelled Cheap, and you obviously don't know a thing about lead.

The banning of lead ammunition for legal hunting has nothing to do with preserving the Condor and everything to do with the SPCA's and the NRDC's agenda of eventually banning all lawful hunting in California. Golf will be next.

It's a good thing to do to reduce lead concentrations in the enviornment. Also, try to stop lead sinkers from fishing, there is alternative metals: plain old iron/steel perhaps partially stainless or coated, bismuth (heavy and melts like lead and is cheep). Copper would be somewhat expensive and wasteful. Lead sinkers are subject to erosion, especially in rivers.

Actually, metallic lead is pretty insoluble. It takes nitric acid or boiling hydrochloric acid to make a dent in it. (Neither being present in the stomachs of condors!)
Look at the other clips I've posted. It's clear that the condors aren't getting lead from bullets or sinkers. It's probably from lead compounds instead. (Like paint or industrial wastes.) Banning lead bullets or sinkers won't help the environment.

right, I guess lead is fairly chemically solid, but erosion from other rocks and sand in a river or stream can cause many small particles in the water. These particles can be injested by the wildlife, and can then find its way into the food chain like mercury.

Ground up metallic lead is still metallic lead; and thus insoluble. And in any case, the lead isn't bullet lead. See Dr. Saba's comments on isotope ratios and Anthony Canales' comments on the lead alloys found.
