@fhtan He was trying to take a charge. If he hadn't been in the restricted area, it would have been a charging foul meaning a turnover and no points to the lakers regardless of whether Odom did actually make the dunk or not. Instead, because he was inside, it meant a blocking foul so Odom got the 2 pts off the dunk and a chance for a third from a free throw.
