I know some people that call their parents by their name. So bottom line for me is, doesn't matter what you call them as long as they know they can call on their parents.

I call my dad Rickard. His names richard...I think its funny.
I call my mother Matiem. Odd.

Our son from Russia called my parnter Papa and me MamaPapa (all on his own, God knows I didn't wanna be called mama) but he soon followed our other son and started calling me Daddy.
