Bravissima! As a leggero coloratura there are few who can touch Kathleen Battle and she makes the runs and roulades seem so effortless, VERY reminiscent of Beverly Sills, although an even smaller voice. I have always been your champion Ms Battle, brava.

je suis OK K.Battle est supérieure, ici, à N.Dessay. elle a
plus d'élégance !

There's not really anything that must be said after this glorious rendition. By far the best version of this magnificent piece.

she has a most lovely light birdlike soprano. In a concert hall most disconcerting. Both rude and pompous to her accompanist and audience n australia she may very easily stay away. Such a pity. High hopes and greatly disappointed. recordings I feel overly favour her very limited voice. Sadly and with love.

@mariannamouse Agreed. Dessay is... OK, I guess, but to me Battle, and Sumi Jo, remain some of the best lyric coloratura sopranos... Battle's voice is just so clear– those difficult passages she makes it seem so easy!

I think she is amazing. I love Natalie Dessay in this but think I love Kathleen Battle the very best.

indeed the very best on this piece... no further comment.

la classe et l'elegance absolue.
Definitely the best...(at least of what we are hearing thanks to you tube) .I have been working on the opera for an article: this is the way Morgana should sound, for she is sort of a soubrette! Wonderful!

Simply perfect. I wonder how she must feel knowing that herself is unbeatable? Heheh. Kudos to Ms.Battle, sheer perfection.
