  • Robert!

I LOVE the way you approach art! It is (very much) appreciated that you selflessly take the time to help budding artists! Filming and uploading video tutorials is time consuming... It is obvious that you have taken your EGO out of it! Bottom line: you are a neat person. Thanks so much for making the effort! It has bridged a HUGE gap in my creativity with this medium!!!!!!

Take care and keep on "keepin on"!

  • @Lilmeemers Thank you! LOL about ego. Heck no. I have the ego of a cat. No one else on the planet can paint the way I do, or ever in history. This will be true of you too if you learn. So I don't need to defend proprietary techniques because you won't use them the way I do. You'll adapt them to your art and I'll enjoy seeing the results!

  • Robert, you surprised me by making drawing look easy and with your precise instruction. You have a gift. Please keep posting these videos. Can you show us how to draw a rose? Thank you for your help and I LIKE your appearance because it is God's gift to the world.

  • @theinric Thank you. Sorry about not posting more videos, I've got bigger technical problems with editing software crashing my computer. I'm going to try to find out if my iPhone has a video editing app - if I can do one with the phone it would be cool, it has a better camera. Drawing is easy once you know how. Knowing how takes study and practice. The best thing you can do for yourself is to get a fat sketchbook and fill a page every day with life drawings. By the end they'll be a lot easier!

  • Thank you! Don't be afraid to try the tutorial - your artworks can be that amazing too and the materials are loony cheap at student level. Get a twelve or 24 pack of cheap oil pastels for a dollar or two, use a sketchbook or just the backs of old paperwork and practice. Have fun with it!

  • I would appreciate it if any further critique was constructive and useful. I made these videos in cramped conditions with poor lighting due to limits of money and physical mobility. My room wasn't well lit, so there are problems using artificial lighting and other distortions. Each time, I try to create the best setup possible to make the art and the process visible and easy to understand.

Kindly keep all critique to the topic of the tutorial itself rather than my personal appearance.

  • Thank you! Try the project. Talent is enthusiasm, the more you enjoy the process, the more you'll practice and learn, the faster it gets easier and the results make you want to draw again.
