Actually, I do know black history. Further, I was brought from Germany in 1958 to Norfolk, Virginia downtown. I lived in some trying times. Fortunately, personally, I was not raised in a racial tone. But being brought to Norfolk Virginia in 1958, in my neighborhood, I was very exposed to racial problems. Our family chose not to play that game. But many did. It is not fair, and no one is saying it does and did not exist. It is wrong on all levels. And many people felt like I did.

I listened to the speech live the first time. And then 2 more times. I was moved by certain parts, but after 24 hours of cooling and thinking, the other issues came up for me. I cannot honestly find any -excuse for Pastor Wrights' comments in several sermons - That talk may happen in a living room, not in church, I just cannot buy this. I have read the biography of Martin Luther King Jr. a few times,I truly believe my feelings are on spot. We're all Americans - today! No matter the color.

Gravel's a nice guy, but his policy on gun control, aswell as his lie about ending the draft are a bit of a turn off.
-
What do you think of Gravel? He's subbed to me (!) but I don't really know that much about him.

I don't like the democrats either.
Hilary Clinton: Signed the Iran war bill, is in bed with the defense contractors.
Obama: Wants war with Pakistan, voted to fund the Iraq war and voted to extend the PATRIOT Act. He also wasn't present for the Iran war bill, so we don't know if he'll bomb them or not.
I'm sticking with Ron Paul to be honest, even though the Delegate math says he won't win.

Yeah absolutely. I (as a Brit who has no say in any of this) just hope that the Americans vote in a Democrat, though the fact that Bush was voted in for a second term doesn't fill me with confidence. If McCain does get it, at least he's the best of a bad bunch. I mean, for God's sake, Romney is a total fascist penis. I think the world got a little safer when he dropped out of the running.
Larry David for President! (yeah, I know he's not running)

He's not like Bush in EVERY way. He doesn't condone torture like Bush does and he's just not quite as big a douchebag.

It'll be interesting to hear what the Obama sheeple have to say about Barrack's associations with such a guy, after they spent months clawing at that article Written under Ron Paul's name. (Of course they dismiss the fact that it has no signature of authorization on it, so he couldn't have written it really)
As for McCain...it is shameful that he's gotten this far.
The man seems like George W. Bush in almost every way. No wonder Geroge Bush endorsed him! Oh well...4 more years of failure.
I still won't expect anything new in general from his election, sorry, that's just the case.
He's war mongoring (Like Bush)
He'll continnue the Iraq war (Like Bush)
He doesn't plan on getting rid of unconstitutional Acts/bills/laws (Like Bush)
So really, I have see no reason to continue this deluded trend of insanity.
