  • They are 'bending' the rules by putting effects on the voices to make them sound like instruments, like compressing the percusion (for example).

    Even if it wasn't fully acapella, It still sounds good, and thats all that matters; right?

    They're awesome live anyway, so it doesn't matter what they do on a CD

  • the average joe off the street would peg this as 3-4 actual voices. I know better, but it's pretty heavy on the vp/processed end. isn't this a mixed group? why not let the women shine more?

  • Actually it is. The are just using modulation techniques and some equipment to change the sound a little, but at the hear of it there is no instruments, no drum box, just voices.
