@Rilan11 This song was written 400 years ago, the times were different, men had to provide to prove there worth in society and to a woman. If a man could not farm or provide then he was not a man.

I always thought it was about a man previously scorned by a woman. So later, when she's sorry and he's over her, he's telling her to go do a bunch of impossible stuff and then he'll take her back.
