  • @barbsinclair I don't call it anger. To me, what you're seeing is passion, not anger. Dr Ehrman argues his case with great passion, not anger.

  • @flatulentperdition Simple difference of translation between versions really isn't Dr Ehrman's issue. He's more concerned about contradictions within the Bible itself, not between different versions.

  • Ehrman is accurate in this opening question, please do as he asks and read the Gospels before you dispute his arguments, it's in there just like he says it is.

  • i dont know that erhman mentioned this, but there are literally dozens of biblical translations. so even if you find one and consider it divine, what about the other dozen that contradict it? its total nonsense. no more relevant than believing in zeus.

  • In Ehrman's opening statement about himself, he is a happy, relaxed and really likable guy. But when he speaks on his refutations of the scriptures, wow does he ever change into an angry man.

  • Yeah, there are many contradictions in the Gospels, but those contradictions, those topics I've noticed are never discussed on 700 Club or PTL. Nor have I ever heard TV evangelists such as Frederick Price or Jimmy Swaggart, etc. speak on this in their sermons. But, then again, why would they. If you read the Bible enough, you're bound to come across a few. Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign IIChron.36:9 / Jehoiachin was eighteen yrs. old ehen he began to reign II Kings 24:8.

  • @Well that's your opinion.Are you an apologetic?

  • Just watched all the videos and here's what I have to say about it...

While Craig Evans sounds less entertaining, he presents more evidence in defence of the bible. Ehrman, being on the attack tends to use a more aggressive tone. Ehrman fails to give any evidences of his accusations other than his own conclusions.

However as both of them said at the end of the last video, be open-minded and study the text. Study the text in all areas of study.

  • @Your "eyes" don't matter. There's no web of deceit in what he's purporting. Just because you're an apologist that doesn't mean your assertions stick. Have you ever written anything to counter his so called "BS?"
