Much to the dismay of Carl the Can Man, Americans discard over 40 billion aluminum cans each year. Now, the motivational speaker extraordinaire has come out of retirement to drop Alumifacts on the world. For example, did you know aluminum is infinitely recyclable and can be back on the store shelf in as little as 60 days? It's true. And if every American recycled just one more can per week, we would remove over 17 billion cans from landfills each year, saving over 2 million metric tons of CO2. As Carl would say, we CAN do it!

To me, recycling isn't even about being "green". It's just common sense: why waste the material? You don't need to be guilted into doing it with environmental propaganda. That's why I like this video, it just states the facts.
When you drink as much soda as my roommate and I do, and live near a recycling center, you're throwing money away if you don't. We also bring cans we find home, altogether generating about $10 worth a month. We're putting the money towards building a slot car track.

Loved the video. The message - loud and clear and is conveyed through really nice video. Recycling Aluminum and other metals will not only help us live a better life but the legacy that we would leave behind thus, for our children would be something worth.
