Tom Bugs told me about Todd's kit and I just made one with a soldering iron. Here's a look at how I decided to case mine and a small peek at what yoiu can do with it. No overdubs or computer software used. Last I heard there are only a few of the first 200 kits left, details in the end credits. Sampler the size of a paperback, and it does a lot. Thanks to George for the help drilling and cabling the case!

  • can somebody tell me what a 8 bit sampler does?

  • 8 bits of resolution, is grungier and harsher than a 12 bit (akai s-900 sampler) or say a 16 bit file or today's standard 24 bit files. However remixers have noticed that lofi 8 bit can kick harder in a mix. This one captures sound and then allows you to layer more on top and speed up or slow down playback in unusual gritty ways that crunch up sound. The noise, aliase nd grittyness is also part of if you will sanding the sound to its basic parts or even down to its granular structure/

  • Yeah I'm enjoying seeing what everyone else is doing with theirs. Last night I really gnarled up an 808 with the WTPA?.

  • Hey! I was first with the WTPA in a Sennheiser mic box idea :p

    Good job though..

  • That is true. You were first and did that sennheiser wooden case one. Also nice. This one was an accident based on finding 3 cases at a flea market. The others are roadcases (w/foam) for my weevils. Nice lite room clearing live pa 3 instrument rig size of a lunchbox.

  • Ahh im kidding around :) Just a small world that we both realised that these mic boxes make great WTPA cases! I was given 2 of them many years ago. So its nice to finally find a use for one.

    Enjoy..
