@ToxicFearful Actually his color is called blue (like the rat in Ratatouille) which is a deep gray bluish color. Probably the lighting is just off. A wild rat color is called agouti and is more like the color of a wild bunny.

Such a cutie, I had an agouti dumbo named Hannah. She was such a sweet little girl. I had her when I started dating my boyfriend and she became Daddy's rat. She eventually passed away due to cancer. She was about 2 1/2, I had always wanted a dumbo.

lol watching this with my little rat baby sleeping on my shoulder all nuzzled up to my neck under my hair :3 Baby rats are the best, so are adult rats, but the babies are so dang adorable!!

my wife is a md/phd yrs ago i got her some ratties because she felt bad doing experiments on mice, she'd come home crying. now that she's a double dr. she refuses to do animal work, if fact she's on the committee to ensure animals are treated well in the research community. we still own ratties to this day. German shepherd, cat, ratties...they are our family. to own ratties and see them age, to spend time with them, it to understand Zen. Rats are Zen creatures, nothing but love.
