**NOTE: PLEASE READ!!**
This is from the Glencoe High School production of "Hello, Dolly" in April, 2007. When commenting, please keep comments related to the singing and acting, and dancing if you must but please don't be so hard on the dancing because keep in mind that the choreoghraphy was very limited to the space we are dancing on - a very skinny thrust.

CAST:
Irene Molloy - Whitney Patterson
Minnie Fay - Lydia Ellis-Curry
Cornelius Hackl - Cameron DeWhitt
Barnaby Tucker - Zach Marsh

  • Very interesting production. Do you have any more posts to come of the production?

I kind of like the dancing. The thrust makes the production more interactive. Is Glencoe in Ontario, Canada or the States?

(from an Ontarian - my daughter's class is putting on this production, and if you were from Ontario, I was going to ask about where the set, costumes, etc. came from.

  • no it's in the states. Hillsboro, Oregon. And we rent our costumes from Chicago; not that that will help you, lol.

I do already have two other videos from this production up, and yes I will be putting more up, gradually. Thank you for your comment, and good luck to your daughter's production! What is her part?

  • primary and senior in australia international school r haveing a hello dolly preformance and im inn it and soo excited cause show in 1 week

  • Wow, that's a long vamp! I play in the pit band in our production of this. Great singing :)

  • i think the actually singing is fine and all, but i think that this song is done way too fast. I feel like this causes the song to be rushed through.

  • my high school is currently performing this show. it's a really great show. we've worked really hard and it's just a great big, as my drama teacher calls it, "cheeseball". it's supposed to be this cheesy fun show that everyone can enjoy.

  • It's ok...but I don't think that using "it's High school" has ever really been an excuse. You either have stage talent or you don't. So I say, it wasen't terrible, I've seen worse.

  • I liked it alot! The stage is very cool. Also I agree with the others, the pit band did a great job.

I really liked minnnie, she was very entertaining and cute.

  • The choreoghraphy is very good for the limited space there... We just finished with our production of Hello Dolly here at the University of the Cumberlands... Fun musical to do

  • Wow, that was good for a highschool performance. Extra kudoos to the orchestra, too!

  • I'm playing Minnie Fay in the 2009 production of Hello Dolly at CAHS =] shes so cute.

  • Am I the only one kinda bugged that Cornelius' hits on Barnaby's girl when he says "all who are well bred agree Minnie Fay has pedigree"? Barnaby didn't seem as enthusiastic as the rest, but maybe that was more of a director choice than an actor choice. Iunno. For the most part, pretty good. ESPECIALLY for a high school.
