Making this video was fun. I recorded some exerpts from a few of my favourite sax solos. They are:

Baker Street: Gerry Rafferty
The Pink Panther: Henry Mancini
Funky Town: some stupid disco band
Brown Sugar: The Rolling Stones
Urgent: Foreigner

For those who feel I should "just learn the real thing", I agree. Buy me a half decent one and I definetly post a video of me playing these licks (I can already play the clarinet ) :p

I used the yamaha vl70m with the patchman turbo chip, the BC3a wind controller and an expression pedal (to add more grit to the sound).

  • I want to learn baker street on sax :S Cant find notes.

  • Nice one. Are you maxing out the dynamic level? Can you use your Breath controller to create more dynamic range in your phrases? Good sax players always do this naturally but Keyboard players will have to address this issue. The authenticity will be in such details. thanks for the post.
