this was at The Vic in Chicago. I think this was their second to last show in America before they broke up. I snuck in a tape recorder in the hood of my sweat shirt. I wonder if this is from that recording. A friend of mine did trade it with some folks back then. Stephen goes on to say something about how Billy Corgan hired some Russians kill him.

@TheSludger forse perchè non li hai mai capiti. Adoro gli Smashing Pumpkins ma considero i Pavement su un livello superiore, nella loro scazzataggine hanno capito molte più cose e l'ironia che c'è nell'intera loro opera è qualcosa di unico

Yeah, SM always said he liked Pumpkins' music, but he viewed them as grunge sellouts. I can honestly say I like the output of both bands, whether you care about public perceptions or their respective marketing strategies / financial arrangements is up to you.

Sorry, but this guy sings horribly! Nothing personal, really! It's just that I'm used to listen Billy voice like something more complex and natural, so it's difficult to reproduce it to do a good SP cover. Malkmus just sings out of tune and without any passion. :/
