  • Your playing is so fucking sloppy and you make an amazing amp sound like shit...

    Damn asian...

  • if you put a distortion pedal in front of this amp you defeat the purpose of buying this amp .... this amp is a gain machine..

  • @ctjoao its not about the gain... You put ts in front to tighten everything up and add more "power".

  • Some tips...sitting so close to this hi gain monster will elicit much unwanted feedback. Also, best not to pull a lead out of the amp unless the stand by switch has been turned off. Otherwise, this can cause issues to the valves.

Did you try a Fireball 60 or 100, because I tested a 60 in the shop and my 100 sounds quite different (better imo). I was surprised by how good the lead channel is for a 1250 € head, I don't really like the clean channel, it doesn't have much character for some reason, sounds a bit boring.

I wouldn't blindly buy a Krank, it's a matter of taste, I like my Krank above a Powerball for sure. Only thing I don't like for metal are Marshall amps, for playing live they are okay, but for heavy metal albums I don't like them. Perhaps you could check out an ENGL Invader as well, but the Pball just has this muddy thing going on, further it's a great amp with a modern sound. Keep in mind it's also a matter of taste ofcourse.

  • never played the 6505's and EVH heads but what I heard in clips is really nice, ofcourse the peavey amps are different than the EVH heads but I think you can't go wrong with both.

I own a Mesa Boogie Roadster and for me, it's the best amp I've ever played. The clean tones are really nice, you can configure them with a light crunch and stuff like that and the distorted channels are the best I played with as well.

Besides that I also own a Krankenstein and they give a sharper treble

  • @CalippoTecks Hmm what other amps would you choose aside from the Pball? and i heard a fireball but i didnt like it much, and yes the framus is sick! But i also like the EVH 5150 3

  • @maidenicarus06

I worked with the Pball for recordings and haven't played a Framus yet, but there are many other amplifiers which I would buy instead of a Pball, I own a Fireball 100 myself and prefer it over a Pball, would I prefer a Framus over a Pball? From the clips I heard of a Framus I'd say hell yes!

  • @JordanPemberton Bro can i ask you a question? Is the Engl Powerball Really worth it? I wanted a Framus Cobra or this one. I want a crunchy sound and i play mainly metal core so would this amp be perfect?
