Gowalla is one of the hottest companies on the scene right now, in the white hot location-based service space, competes with Foursquare. I sit down with CEO Josh Williams and get a look at the new iPhone version, released today to prepare for SXSW.
I LOVE the idea of threaded comments and image uploads, and it is good to see Josh Williams and the rest of Alamo Fire aren't done improving the app. Can't wait until Gowalla gets more mainstream.
Great interview! Gowalla seems like it has a lot of unique features that set it apart from foursquare especially with virtual goods and location based photo walls. It will be interesting to see how the back and forth goes but it all comes down to what service people you know are using. That was the deciding factor for me and foursquare.

Sorry... iPhone sucks. Motorola DROID is the new smartphone. How many former iPhone owners have I talked to who LOVE the Droid? MANY! iPhone is crap.
