The family of a firefighter who died July 3 are fighting to keep his widow from receiving death benefits because she had been born a man, according to the Houston Chronicle. Thomas Araguz III, 37, of Wharton, Texas separated from his wife of two years after learning her history, according to attorney Chad Ellis, who represents Araguz's parents in the lawsuit.
