RNC Fundraiser Noank, CT.

Michael Steele discussed the Obama Administration's prosecution of the war in Afghanistan. "The [General] McChrystal incident, to me, was very comical. I think it's a reflection of the frustration that a lot of our military leaders has with this Administration and their prosecution of the war in Afghanistan. Keep in mind again, federal candidates, this was a war of Obama's choosing. This was not something that the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in. It was one of those areas of the total board of foreign policy [that was at least?] that we would be in the background sort of shaping the changes that were necessary in Afghanistan as opposed to directly engaging troops. But it was the President who was trying to be cute by half by flipping a script demonizing Iraq, while saying the battle really should in Afghanistan. Well, if he is such a student of history, has he not understood that you know that's the one thing you don't do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan? Alright, because everyone who has tried over a thousand years of history has failed, and there are reasons for that. There are other ways to engage in Afghanistan..."

  • All you jack offs can argue about the politcal front men that distract you from seeing the real order of power that runs not just the U.S.! There is no left or right in truth! It's like a damn W.F. wrestling match, they hate eachother on t.v. and oppose eachother, but after the show is over they are all friends again! Wake the F.... up! The order of power is this: the false government you see on t.v., above them is the Industrial Military Complex, then on top, the financial oligarchs!

  • All people reading this need to wake up and stop being partisan tools and actually LISTEN to what Steele is saying. This isn't about Republicans or Democrats or Bush's War or Fox news or any of that shit. He's talking about saving troops lives by no longer involving ourselves in this conflict. He's talking about not putting them in further danger.

It IS Obama's war now. He is CHOOSING to prolong it when he ran on the ticket of peace. I don't see how that's a good thing for anybody.

  • Haha! good one! sounds crazy, but look up Eisenhowers speach from 61 about the introduction of the armaments industry, which later got outta hand and became a multibillion dollar industry, its lobyest reps currently have major pull in washington. we spend billions on things that blow shit up basicly. Look up former Fed Resevere chairmen Alan Greenspan going public on the news and saying basicly the Fed Is a private company, and is above U.S. Juristiction. sounds crazy, it's just the sad truth.

  • I love the sound of a political career ending

  • @terrythecensor Expecting moral clarity from Steele is like expecting moral clarity from Obama -- and both camps of their supporters. They are partisans first, last, always. Those people have to be ignored (tough since they have the power) and the majority who aren't politicians or partisan drones need to nullify the suffocating control of the elite. We the people always have been the producers, the common sense backbone. With the internet we can tell the truth and hear each other.

Those people have to be ignored (tough since they have the power) and the majority who aren't politicians or blind partisans need to take away the suffocating control of the elite. We the people always have been the producers, the common sense backbone. With the internet we can tell the truth and hear each other.

  • @mrrepublican1234 Hahaha! More baseless smears. And smears passed on to you that you don't even understand.

    Shame.

  • @terrythecensor - Your Saul Alinski-type posts here reveal your true methods & betray your motives. The taste of one's own medicine must be bitter indeed. And now you cry foul? Laughable.

  • @mrrepublican1234 Wipe the foam from your lying mouth, son. I never stuck up for Steele -- my comments have been critical of his delusions and yours. I never voted for Obama, either. And your tax dollars don't support me.

You have no arguments; you have only hate-based, fact-free smears -- which everyone can see.

  • @leafwatch I am not defending the new warlord. I am reminding people here that George W. Bush instigated this war -- abetted by Democrats o'plenty, of course. Those are facts.

So for Steele to pretend the war in Afghanistan started in 2009 is insane.

Can't we admit that? Why do people deflect this???

  • @terrythecensor - Dude, why do you sticks up for Steele when you voted for Obama? Do you think we are blind? You should censor your own comments more carefully, Terry. Now go back to sleep...it is time for the rest of us to git up & to work to pay the first few days of our week's pay to the gubmit to support people like you and try to live on what's left.
