What makes the Humboldt Tea Party patriots tick, and how is the local community receiving their message? This question is explored through coverage of a pair of Tea Parties.

In 2009, anti-tax protesters confront Congressman Mike Thompson as well as counter-demonstrators in a march on Thompson's office to object to government-mandated health insurance. On Tax Day (April 15) of 2010, Tea Partiers gather once more at the courthouse to rail against too much taxation and wasteful spending.

Filmed at the Humboldt County Courthouse in August 2009 and April 2010, and at Congressman Thompson's Eureka field office in August 2009.

Produced by Charles Douglas in association with the Humboldt Sentinel.
