Marty Robbins Sings 'Today I Started Loving You Again.'

I seem to remember reading once that Merle Haggard originally wrote this great Country song for Marty, but kept it for himself on realizing what a song it was! I could be wrong about this, but knowing how Merle admired Marty it seems more than likely that he did write the song for him in mind.

Actually if you listen to Hag's version of the story, He and Bonnie were walking through an airport out on a tour, and after some rocky issues between them, he said to her, "you know, today I started loving you again". Once at the motel Bonnie went out to get the two a hamburger. When she returned to the room, Merle had penned this song and sang it for her. He claims that she cried so he gave her half the credits. LOL.

This is indeed an excellent version of the Merle Haggard classic. Pity that the audio quality is poor.

Just to hard to hear I like Marty and this is muffled on my players as it might not be on others sorry, but I gave a dislike on the fly. This need of mine to hear it clearly and with a good range of volume control on my end. Sorry for the dislike, but it is what it is.
