We go on a journey with wise ones and distinguish harming from healing beliefs. ABOUT HORSE MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE

HORSE MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE (HMI) is a non-profit public charity, 501(c)(3). Our mission is to engage in educational activities which promote holistic perspectives in health and healing of body, mind, spirit and society. Our goal is to help people embrace new paradigms of awareness, understanding and personal and social possibilities which can lead to enlightened action.

Since 1996, HMI and founder Dr. Jim Lemkin have produced communications that identify and uproot obstacles to our authentic human needs and potential. HMI produces, publishes and distributes visual, audio, print and other media both electronically and in material form.

HORSE MOUNTAIN STUDIO, a production arm of HMI, produces films and other media that are committed to healing and the human spirit from a holistic perspective. A goal of our production efforts is to reach and engage the widest possible audience.

One of our most recent films on the subject of healing and conscious dying, WALKING AT THE EDGE, aired nationally on PBS. We produced and disseminated an audio CD, NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION AS A WAY TO PEACE, without charge to thousands of persons and groups nationally and internationally. It introduces practical ways for individuals, organizations and communities in conflict to communicate effectively, ensuring that all parties are able to express their authentic needs and feelings and be heard.

Currently a new film, BEYOND BELIEF, is in production. It asks, "Can individuals and communities with conflicting beliefs find meaningful common ground and human to human connection beyond the realm of those harming beliefs and belief systems?" It encourages open-minded inquiry into the causes and consequences of unexamined beliefs.

Another HMI project in production is CORPORATION AS HEALER, a book that introduces natural medicine's most time-tested principles of healing and applies them to corporate governance and consciousness. It is fundamentally a new cross-disciplinary model that creates healthy and profitable corporations using a holistic framework of wellbeing for all stakeholders in all ways.

The nature of truth is singular and absolute. The different medicine for different illness analogy is not taking the problem seriously. Is there one God, no God, or many gods? Is there a hell? Is there a heaven? You cannot use this mutiple approaches to a common problem becaue we are not dealing with a problem or illness we are dealing with what is actually the case, what is the truth. My dog is warm blooded, that does not solve any problems, it is just the truth.

Amazing SOUL, I have a son, who is an atheist, and I see the truth in this thinking that His Holiness expresses. I am praying (in my way) that my son will see the beauty of SOME religious belief... because a spiritual base gives a deeper meaning and richness to the tapestry of life. Great Blessings...
