I guess since the president of Brazil won't intervene and return the lad, it will end up in the World Court in The Hague, Netherlands. The World Court will put sanctions against Brazil until Sean is rightfully returned. At least if the legal system totally fails in Brazil, there is a court the family can't persuade in their favor. The kid was traumatized when talking to psychologists. If you were 6 years old in the same predicament, you would have said the same. He has a biological father, and was kidnapped and is being held hostage. Shame on you and your country!! The child has vague recollection of his father only sees him for a short time every six months or so? Sure the kid is going to say he wants to stay there.

well in our LAW the kid`s opinion is very important to where he is going to live, that happens alot here when parents separate.That`s why he still in Brasil because he dont want to leave.

You write about government kidnapping, yet the kidnapping case by the Brazilian judge of Sean Goldman, whose mother a brazilian citizen took Sean to Brazil & would not return him. She later dies and her family wants to keep him. The case is still under appeal in Brazil, with Sean taken hostage. I wouldn't want to visit Brazil. The government officials are responsible for this travesty! President Obama has talked to the President of Brazil, he has failed to do anything to have him returned.

I am glad that I live in the greatest country in the world, BRASIL even with it's faults. Apologies to good hearted Americans, but I hope someday you will join the 21st century when it comes to equal rights an justice for all people your governament kidnap around the world. I was going to hell but I canceled my trip to the Projects , but thanks for the suggestion.
