Actually like this show, and even though Grizzle isn't really an 'actual' threat, he does play the part of the megalomaniac sociopath pretty well.

Maybe it's just because I haven't seen the old version? Meh, but I dunno how bronies can hate on this if it's also promoting love/tolerance. Definitely prefer this to G3 MLP though.

I can't believe I'm talking seriously about the Care Bears of all things, but maybe one reason your daughter feels that way is that this new version doesn't seem to have any dramatic tension. As in, you know, villains who actually seemed like a threat and gave a more of a feeling of danger (by Care Bear standards, that is. We're not talking the Terminator, here.)

I think kids appreciate that kind of thing WAY more than a lot of over-protective types think they do.

My daughter was amazed that there were care bears before this prefers old care bears to this, and asked me what happened to the show....kinna impressed me. Guess you just can't replace the old.
