Lucas May throws to second before the start of an inning during a September 2 California League meeting between the Inland Empire 66ers and the Lake Elsinore Storm. The catcher was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the eighth round (241st overall pick) of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft out of Parkway West High School in Baldwin, Missouri. May earned California League All-Star honors after batting .256/.313/.465 with 25 home runs and 89 RBI in 2007.
