@irage101 he wasn't big during at the time, Vince simply didn't want Owen to leave, since he was afraid that he would go to wcw and possibly reform The Hart Foundation again back from 1997 or even worse in Vince's mind, and that was possibly make Owen a star like wwf did with Austin after his wcw experience

@irage101 he didn't want to be fired, he wanted to be released, and Owen knew that after he was screwed after Michael's refused to do anything with Owen from what he was promised from Vince to be the savior of the Hart family and Canada, he knew he was going no where and simply wanted enough money to retire with his family so he was stuck in a position in which he was forced to do the stunt.

@Paul8820 I think you were not aware that Owen felt that he had to do it because he already said no to a previous angle that wwe creative team wanted him to do with Debra involing him having an affair. Owen refused it because he didn't want to send the wrong message to his family and his morals, so the Blu Blazer was his punishment. And after that, how many times can you say no before they quit on you and simply move on to the next guy and fire you and that stops the support to his family
