1.0 lb ; 1 lb 15oz and 3 lb 1oz Channel Catfish

1-2-3 lb channel catfish on Magic bait; Secret-7 and Danny King respectively i.e. 3 fish on three different baits. Got them all in first hours (5PM -6PM) when I was working to keep up with baby bait thieves. Then second hour of my 2 hours quest = not even a single bite - weird how they move thru then vanish e.g. you have to get lucky and be there when the fish decide to swim by :) I guess a smart person would sit there all day and hope they come back more than once - but some 'smart people' are lazy and are happy to get 3 BTW: if you add them up - I got 8 catfish in 7 days i.e. average 1 keeper a day - cause I really don't count the 1.0 lb a keeper - but it swallowed the hook and was going to die.

I don't cook them - I save big ones (over 4 lbs) for my brother when he visits (from Washington state). The others I give to the little lady next door - she fries them and is building up a supply for this winter
