Damn shame... that was a great flight too....

at a NAR launch, a Initiator CATOed and the engine blew right through the rocket. the people hiked about a mile just for the engine.

Sorry Bout Looseing it
-
Uh???!!!! where'd it go??????!!!!!!

After almost losing my initiator, I bought a 120db keychain alarm from radioshack. Hook it up to the shock cord so the pin is pulled by the parachute deployment. It has saved me twice.

no, rockets get stuck in trees good luck in finding it though

You flew one of the original G40's. Before Aerotech use the one piece molded plastic case with the molded plastic forward bulkhead, the G40 had about 62 grams of propellant, with a total Impulse of 120 n/s. They were awesome motors, three second burn, lots of noise fire and smoke. Than when Aerotech switched to their molded case, which required a liner, it cut the total impulse to a 100 n/s.. The average thrust remained 40 n/s but for shorter period of time.

Nope, never did. Maybe someday a little kid will find it in the woods and display it proudly in his room.
