Live from "Yorkfest", August 29th, Strand Capital Theatre, York, PA. Dave Wilson has wrapped up a new recording which he is very excited about. Done at the famed Red Rock Studios in Stroudsburg, Pa, Kent Heckert engineering, it features the likes of jazz musicians Phil Markowitz on Piano (Bob Mintzer, Dave Liebman, Phil Markowitz trio); Tony Marino on Bass (Dave Liebman); and Adam Nussbaum on Drums (Michael Brecker, Elaine Elias, James Moody, others); all internationally acclaimed and renowned. It is composed of 6 originals in a contemporary style, plus uniquely arranged covers of such songs as diverse as Friend of the Devil (Grateful Dead); (Youre the) Biggest Part of Me (Ambrosia); My Own Prison (Creed); Richie Bierachs Elm; and the beautiful Brazilian waltz Francisca by Toninho Horta. Dave expects a Spring 2010 release date on the great Summit Records Label.
