@trommnorse I am not sure if you understand how the world works but... People need to make a living as well as appeal to the listeners...

The world is evolving and just because something is modern does not make it bad... When Megadeth and Metallica made their music... That was modern to them... Metal is Metal... There is sub genres of all types of Metal and sub genres to that genre... But when it comes down to it... It's still Metal be it Black Thrash Metal or Progressive Death Metal...

@trommnorse alright. no offence to you personally, but im the kind of guy whoever says dimmu borgir or even old cradle of filth arent black metal must be stupid. cuz it obviously is. now, i accept that there are blackers who stay true to the roots, but that doenst mean the style hasnt deveploped. im sure there are also those who say bands like chimaira arent metal because they like blind guardian and iron maiden. and power to them, but theyre really being unfair

@MyLovelyHomicide You are probably the kind of guy who considers Dimmu to be black metal, so you shouldn't really express any opinion on the matter. This a kind of new thing in metal which is a mixture of black and something way more modern, one of the bands like Polish Crionics for example. When it comes to black metal - almost any divergence from it's essence is automatically putting the band out of the genre.
