Children's book author Cornelia Funke is one of Germany's most internationally successful writers. Her best known work is the 'Ink' trilogy. Now the first volume has been filmed in Hollywood and has its world première in Berlin on December 9. Cornelia Funke worked on the script and co-produced the movie. ARTS.21 on filming 'Inkheart'.

Silvertongue was a name given only to Mo in the books. Calling people with his gift "Silvertongues" was only used in the film. Can people please stop arguing about it now? It's ridiculous.

i love the trilogy but not everybody has to be named silvertongue, it would be confusing. I hate it that Paul Bettany cut his hair! Everybody is exactly the way that i imagined them though.

no, he just said he didnt want to hear about "silver tongues" because mortola had told him about mo being a silvertongue but he didnt believe her.

he wasnt saying it like a class of ppl. he literally meant "silver tongue"

Actually, on page 500 of Inkspell, in says Silvertongues, referring to all of the people who can read things out of books.

um, they just said she shared the same gift. they usually called her a witch lol not Silvertongue XD

No, it said somewhere, when they found out Meggie could read stuff out of books, somebody said that she was "a Silvertongue as well" or something.

umm......silvertoungue was only mo's name, not everyone who could read things in and out :/

im scared about the movie everyone said it sucked and honestly, the actors (except for fenoglio and mo) dont look like the characters i imagined at all. i think ill wait a while until seeing the movie so it doesnt turn me away from the books
