@gigaboy47 Read my comment closely, I am giving you the data from 100 polls, not one poll. These are head to head polls against Obama, not GOP candidate polls. Please give a link to the poll you are sighting, because I doubt it exists.
@miturbinesdurti well maybe that poll but the ones I have been looking at shows Ron Paul at the top and Romney second. I am sure romney can beat him though.
@MrToadful So you just personally have no faith in Mitt Romney being able to change like other people. At least you admit that his alleged range of change is possible. He doesn't have to court the moderate vote because they are sick of Obama. If they weren't sick of Obama, then his disapproval rating would be below 50%. His Reaganesque message and campaign is what attracts them. As far as Obamacare goes, advisors don't make the decisions, the president does. Obamacare will be repealed, per Mitt.
@miturbinesdurti Of course I believe people can change; Mitt changes every few years depending upon whose vote he's courting. I've no problem with people changing position on principle or new facts, but it's clear that Romney is just playing you. He'll soon betray you when courting the moderate vote again.
The signs are all there for you to see; Norm Coleman, adviser to Romney, said just the other day "We’re not going to do repeal. You’re not going to repeal Obamacare".
@MrToadful Nice theory, except it doesn't account for the nearly three years of polling that he has been having the same results against Obama. I guess you don't believe people can change. Reagan was a registered Democrat and later because a conservative Republican. Romney was a moderate Republican and is now a conservative Republican. Keeping the range of Reagan's change in mind makes Romney's maturation clear. Besides, he has always been a social conservative. Mormons are the most conservative
@miturbinesdurti Nope. Romney benefitted from increased name recognition, more media coverage, and an early success in Iowa then New Hampshire, so it's no wonder he's fared better in the polls. (Though it later turned out he didn't actually win in Iowa). He is clearly just manipulating grassroots GOP voters by pretending to be a consistent conservative. Don't say you weren't warned when he returns to being a moderate if he gets the nomination.
