  • so like...is this song about getting laid?

  • Love this man's work ! We went to a memorial tribute in Indy years ago...at a bare-bones bingo hall, with fold-up chairs and cheap beer. It was heavenly ! Also an Indianapolis boy.

  • Hehe! Never heard this one...and Ive heard pretty much everything. THANK YOU. wow ♥

  • @MrRGanja : You're right. It's Sonny Boy (John Lee) Williamson (1) on harp and probably Washboard Sam on......washboard. (recorded about 1941)

  • Wow, another hidden treasure...

  • @dubfortheyouth about 90% of old blues songs are.

  • Sonny Boy Williiamson???

  • Like I tell my kids, "I don't pay attention to the words..." That's how I experience music: the whole picture. I'm sure musician/poets would hate to hear me say that; but I don't think Yank Rachell spent a lot of time on the words -- it just jumped from his heart. Love it.

  • Them blues guys and jazz hipsters invented the way people speak today

...Lester Young swore so much he'd make D12 look like a nun's congregation

  • @dubfortheyouth uh huh. tapping that thang is no where a modern phrase. if history is studied good enough people would see that a lot of things we say and do now are from the old south
