Like I tell my kids, "I don't pay attention to the words..." That's how I experience music: the whole picture. I'm sure musician/poets would hate to hear me say that; but I don't think Yank Rachell spent a lot of time on the words -- it just jumped from his heart. Love it.

@dubfortheyouth uh huh. tapping that thang is no where a modern phrase. if history is studied good enough people would see that a lot of things we say and do now are from the old south

Love this man's work ! We went to a memorial tribute in Indy years ago...at a bare-bones bingo hall, with fold-up chairs and cheap beer. It was heavenly ! Also an Indianapolis boy.
