  • At the 7:50 mark Sagan talks about Voyager leaving the solar system. Well thats happening right now, July-Aug-Sept 2011. Voyager 1 does not detect any solar wind from the sun. It has reached the void of open space.

  • it's sad how he nevergot to see the results of the cassini mission :(

  • @qurpje97 Hearing Carl say those words with such excitement and wonder made my heart skip a beat. How very sad.

  • shiploads of marble...

  • Carl Sagan still lives on in our hearts and minds. We must never forget him. We shall keep his memory alive. We still have Carl Sagan's COSMOS, a gift we can give to our children and grandchildren. And so, in these videos, in a way, he still lives on. Thank you for uploading these videos on your channel. We all love you Carl Sagan.

  • Damn, Christian Hoygens sounds like the fucking MAN! we need more of him and Carl Sagans. Fuck these pop stars people want to be. Give me an intelligent, down to earth, open minded but, more importantly, creative person any day. CARL SAGAN FOR GOD! HIP HIP...

  • I've just about had it with this world. I'd like to volunteer to be the first human physically connected to a space craft's on board computer. Think the Matrix. Remove my brain direct wire it in, give me a small nuclear power pack that will sustain all my functions for a 1000 years and blast my ass out into space. Any destination would be fine. To the far reaches of the universe or just drop me on any one of the inner planets and I'll do some major exploring. Sign me up today!

  • Never knew he visited my country :O

  • happy birthday dr. Sagan, I'm truly proud to be part of the same human family you enlightened.

  • @RustyCyler Amazing to think that, no matter what happens here on Earth - there will be two objects that our species made that will travel forever across the galaxy.
