"Created to Be Me" - a unique summer camp experience for soon-to-be ninth graders

Created to be Me (a.k.a.Eighters) camp is a one-of-a-kind camping experience for eighth graders going into ninth grade in the fall of 2011. Teen campers learn the basics of human sexuality and relationships from a biblical perspective as they face the important transition into high school. Teens Have Choices is partnering with Christian Church Capital Area (Disciples of Christ) to offer this camp for the third year at Camp Mary Mac near Sharpsburg, Maryland.

Cost for this week-long, all-inclusive camp is $185. Financial assistance is available for those who need it.

We are very passionate about this program because many of our teenagers today find it difficult to cope with the changes that are occurring within them, and the world around them. Teaching and discussing this topic in a loving and fun camp environment, coupled with the usual camp activities like music, art, campfires, games and swimming, is a great opportunity and we don't want any 9th grader to miss out!
