What type of keyboard do you use there... or is there a keyboard that you would recommend for DJ music production?

Great tutorial. i've been trying to get into electronic music production ofr a while but i just can't find a good tutorial for FL or ableton, which are the DAW's i've tried. My question is, is this a good DAW to use as your first DAW ever?

Hi, I appreciate how you help us knowing more about this nice program! But have you ever think about making a vid on how to register vocal with Energy Xt, and also on mixing and on mastering?
Hope I've not ask more than you can provide for learners like me... Anyway, you've already done a cool job with this tutorial....

Nice tutorial! But could you help me resolve the problem I have with my own version of Energy xt 2.5, I just unpacked a behringer Uca 222, and the softwear came with it. I installed it but I could not hear the sound even that of the demo file. Is there something I need to purchase to let it work?

hey cool stuff, I just got a behringer mixer and energyxt yesterday and am stoked, great machine and super DAW... keep up the tutorials, I'm grateful to you for sharing your wizardry :)

@pomeroyjoshua Dude doesn't the drum sampler have tomb tombs and cymblas
In my opinion, EnergyXT is a great software for beginners and advanced users. just like with any software platform, once you know a few shortcut keys and start getting a idea for the logic of the architecture (ie: menus and sub menus and how the functions are organized) it's then left up to your creativity and imagination to create good music.
Look through the key commands under the setup menu (That helped me work quicker)

Yoo i got the mixer and Energy xt. But i think i was improperly informed. Can i use a Xenyx 1222USB as a MIDI controller for energy xt? The software came with the mixer so i am assuming it does but it is unclear since the mixer is advertised as an ANALOG mixer with usb functions that comes with a DAW (''DIgital'' audio workstation) get what im trying to say? ANY help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Reading through the pdf, it looks like this is simply a stereo in/out usb interface. Meaning, while you have multiple input to the mixer, you have a stereo pair or 2 separate mono recording signals sending to your computer. This doesn't say anything I can see about midi control or even a midi interface.

Heyy im going to buy a mixer that comes with this DAW, i would like to use it because its designed to be compatible. The thing is i dont want to lose all of my plugins i bought for fl studio. My question being can i add any plugin into this software? Like hypersonic 2, Nexus 2, etc....

@18Jewsh
This is a VST compatible host. So, any (VST) plugin should work great. Make sure you set your your folder for your plugins under Setup / Browser / Plugins - Then add your folder(s).
