Shit man!! I saw Heat and I saw Collateral and let me tell you Mann is a great director and if you are a fan tv series or if you know a little bit from miami's crime situation you`ll admire the work he made with this film Some of my friends are militar here in mexico and they afirm the great way he get the realism so as you see it`s not only a movie!

Mann IS a great director, but he dropped the ball in this one. Given a choice, I'd rather it have been Ben Stiller and Marlon Wayans doing a parody remake of the old show than what this turned out to be. At least it would've made the effort to squeeze a few laughs out of 80's imagery.

I don't think cops hang around night clubs and go on day trips to Cuba with their gangster-embedded girlfriends. Nor do they talk exclusively in gravelly one-liners. Who gives a shit if they held their guns right, the movie blew. .

Jamie Foxx sucks, just cant stand his acting, thats why the movie sucked. The movie needed a great sidekick.

People hated this movie because they wanted it to be like the tv series. Mann took a gritty and darker approach in the movie, and people couldn't accept it.

Farrell and Fox didn't take Mann up on his offer of a sequel, which Mann had left a "hook" in the ending, Montoya escapes, will he seek revenge on Isabella? Will Crockett be punished for letting Isabella escape? will he go to Cuba to find and protect her? Will Tubs risk his caeer to help Crockett? I'm making a serious comment so hope you will view it as such. As to Colin Farrell's hair in the film, if you notice the LA opening of film he had cut his hair very short, that was Mann's idea also.

This remake was one of the worst piece of shit I ever seen in my life, the chinese bytch is ugly, the 2 gays starring actors don't deserve the honour to play crockett and tubbs, they are ugly, unclassy, don't know how to make it pop

they just look so gay why don't call don johnson and thomas to make a 20 year after remake?
