Tough to see to the end. This position was taken from a game between A. Kosteniuk and S. Cherednichenko, Szeged 1994. White plays and wins.

  • a 14 move check mate dang im not gonna see that !

  • arghh ..its hard ..~ but i like it ~ dont ask things to be easier ..but ask urself to be better~

  • you don't have to see the 14moves ahead, just to spot the initial weakness, and work with it

  • Unless you are a super GM, I dont think any mortal player can see 14 move checkmates like this one. After the game, yes, you can find mates like this with the help of a computer program.

  • i thought f8N+, but it is only a draw when black takes with the bishop, otherwise mate.
