@BigMike859 Mike, God made you in His image. Don't live like an animal. Instead, turn from your sins and trust in Jesus and He will enable you to live pleasing in His sight. None of us deserve heaven. God's standard is perfection. Through the gospel, God is willing to NOT give us what we deserve (hell), but give us what we don't deserve (eternal life with Him). That's His mercy and grace. You can have sin or the Savior, but not both. Choose wisely.
@BigMike859 There is only one cleansing agent for sin, and it is not purgatory. It is the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 Jn 1:8). Accept no substitute.
@BigMike859 Again, purgatory is a comforting thought because it will supposedly eventually end. This is a deception. It contradicts the Bible. The Bible teaches only two options when we die. One God made for His children and one He made for the devil and his angels (Mt 25:31-46). Jesus warned that those that didn't follow Him were children of the devil (Jn 8:44). Don't follow the devil to hell, but follow the Lord Jesus Christ to heaven. Repent and believe the gospel while you still can.
@BroPatOC and Purgatory is Gods area for us to cleanse our bodies of sin. None of us our perfect and he knows it. A lady experienced near death experience I read and she wasn't bad. Done sin like all of us like sex, drinking alcohol, and she said she wasn't ready to go yet. God showed her the mistakes and just smiled. That she just needs to just be her best. He wants the best of us like any parents want of there children even though we make mistakes. Parents don't abandon there children.
@BroPatOC But do we really know what God is like? were only animals. God made us with the sexual instinct. I think about sex a lot do I feel bad about it. No because deep down I feel it's normal. I feel people who kill and rape should go to hell but then again thats Gods choice. Really yeah I don't think I deserve to go to Heaven along with many others but then again I don't think the majority of us deserve to go to Hell. If we all tried our best but sinned sex, acohol, or others. Purgatory.
@BroPatOC - Jesus would rather save you FROM your sins (which are really bad) through real repentance and belief in the gospel. Real repentance is a fundamental change of mind. You believe what God says about your sins and you turn from them. If you won't turn from your sins, God will not turn from His wrath (Luke 13:1-5). The real church will have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Eph 5:11). Call it an attack if you want. Thanks for commenting.
@BigMike859 Think what you are saying. You want to have a "blast" (which is what you prefer) before you have to "act good" (bummer) for a little while through some ritualistic observance. This comforts you about your sins, but clearly leaves you in them - a license to sin if you will. Anyone following this logic is decieved into thinking he is saved, but in fact is still on his way to hell.
You know you guys attack people at Mardi Gras. Its a French Catholic Holiday. It's a day to splurge and have a blast before we have to act good from then to Easter. so how dare you guys attack our holiday.
Amen! I hope they would all repent, and Mardi Gras was ended forever! To bad, they won't all repent. Mardi Gras WILL BE ended forever, though! Praise Jesus!
