@pochoman12345 also if your so roots hawaiian then why would you call yourself pochoman. das potagee. which are haoles too.
-
@pochoman12345 dont forgot "your people" sold the land cuz deep down they too just wanted more money and power like every human being. All humans do wrong, so dont think your something superior to anyone else. also if "haoles" are the bad ones than why are all the land trusts and volunteer clean ups only ever filled with "haoles". i lived here my whole life and the only time ive ever seen a dark skin guy doing his part for the land is when hes forced to do community service.

Hey Shawna is right---that was not brian's image--i stand corrected--and am very sorry for the comment-and am removing it-------who ever took this photo should be aware of the endangered species act and the rules about not disturbing/touching Honu.

@nikkimo66 Thank you.
I agree with everything you say, EXCEPT "what's up with you haole guys?" Some of us "haole guys" have utmost respect and admiration for sea turtles and for the ocean. This is our home, too. Please don't lump all haole guys with this idiot. Auwe.

@kikananihanai "My apologies...its not the skin color, its his actions. Doesn't make it right for me to say it...but spur of the moment and emotions over this, just made me do so. Again...sorry if I offended anyone, and this ain't about him being white. Because he's a local that acts like a Haole kook. Aloha."

To many it may seem Jamie isn't doing anything wrong, but he is! for one thing is he's not a scienstist doing research, and if the picture was for awareness of the Fibropapillomas disease, then he should've done things differently...and not just try to get the perfect shot for a picture. But some may not think before actions...thus the situation now. I apologize if i came off racist or offended anyone, but emotions got involved, and so i spoke & made a video. (continued below...)

I'm a 4th generation Hawaiian waterman...from surfing, diving, fishing, canoe, etc. I take pride in our ocean, & love it for all its worth, never disrespecting it, as i know where my roots came from. If we don't take care of our ocean & land now...all we'll have is just pictures & stories for our future keiki. Why not conserve it, so they can experience it themselves. Someone as a pro surfer & role model to kids should know this as well. My apologies again for ranting, but someone had to do it!

@lightdavem First of all...do your research before commenting, and then you'll realize that being threatened is in the same category as endangered. Think about it? If you were to threaten someone, you'd be putting them in danger. So stick to filming your music group or groups on Maui, and nevermind putting your 2cents in, when you don't know what you're talking about. Google Hawaii endangered species, and you'll see the list of many animals.
