Belinda, I share your pain. I never knew Rigel, but I know too well that empty feeling. I've outlived a few treasured pets in my own life. The most recent: a little lady who gave me 18 years of total devotion.
The best I can offer is: cherish the memories, and go on. We have to. We're stuck with it... Dammit...
