"Religion is a set of beliefs in order to PLEASE a deity... religion is a sin in scripture".
Hebrews 11:6 - "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
Apparently the author of Hebrews doesn't know the Gospel.

@neacej1 I can't find that definition. Regardless, my point still stands. There is no definition I can find that is a positive biblical notion.
-
@kreezy22 I did not cut off the definition, as I copied it word-for-word from a dictionary.
-
@neacej1 religion is a set beliefs in order to PLEASE a deity. You cut off the definition. Religion is always related to deity. Religion is a sin in scripture. "Do these things to appease God" as opposed to the Gospel "Jesus did already did these things to appease God".

@billb380 the Gospel found in scripture, that he teaches, is not consistent with the majority view of the Gospel in our this country's churches, especially where he is... Don't be so contentious.
-
Lol, yeah. I jumped the shark.

@billb380 Read the Word of God, there is no confusion as to what the true gospel is. Most so called christians dont want to read their Bibles, and would rather get their truth from some Charlatan on TBN. Thats how false gospels gain momentum and surpress and corrupt the truth.
-
And how the hell does he know he knows the Gospel and "Everyone" else doesn't?

Listens, hears: This is how I try to get people to listen to me since my paycheck depends on it.

Although I agree with Matt Chandler on most points, the definition of religion is a set of beliefs. Therefore, even the Gospel is part of a religion (in the historic definition of the word religion).
