Very well said Sunil Babu !! The west had an interest to eastern philosophy that's why they attracted to Eastern philosopher, poet and so on. . But only for that, Rabindranath got Nobel Prize, I am not agree with Sunil babu at all. I think either he should read more about nobel prize, or he is misleading the audience by saying that ' Tagore was lucky'. !!!!

Good to know that one more prominent and progressive writer dares to be honest to himself in defining the so called overrated British made god, Tagore. The other writer was Humayun Azad.

This is unfair - this man is invited only among such writers who have not even heard of Rabindranath. Does not seem that either the interviewer or the interviewed has much idea about contemporary international literature. 'Lobbying' has gone so much into the head of Gangopadhyay that as chief of the Sahitya Academy he has ushered in an unprecedented scale of lobbying for different awards. Result is, today, an awarded writer is a much scorned species in Bengal.
