im working on building a synth...but im a little confused..where does the actual "sound" come from? dont you have a keyboard hooked up or something?

That synth has CV IN and a GATE IN that are receiving notes via a MIDI-to-CV converter. You cant see the cables because it's too dark, but they are connected from behind.
